About the Artist
Born in NYC to a union leader and Juilliard graduate phil was steeped in music and the need to understand people and the issues that we all face. At a young age phil began to write music and philosophy, his first ideas were centered on the concept that almost everything about life is the same for all things and that the differences are only a tiny part of the world we share. This philosophy he called commonhaüs.
Incorporating these ideas into his music he created the group commonhaüs and played NYC and Chicago throughout the early nineties. During this time touring the Midwest and meeting musicians from all walks of life, phil was finding inspiration to be the musician he is today.
Now on a solo project, phil has found a new freedom to create music from his heart, delivering an eclectic mix of gritty, thoughtful songs. You will hear a wide range of styles and lyrical content in this music.
Technical Requirements:
Solo show: Piano, Fender amp, Direct box, Two Guitar stands and a microphone.
