About the Artist
Teresa had been writing songs for several years when she approached the rhythm section of Kevin Moylan and Ray Boyce (x-Returnables, x-The New Thirty) at the end of 2006 to help her record some of her material. “Powderhouse” made their debut at a packed P.A.’s Lounge in Somerville in May 2007 and has since played successful gigs at top clubs around Boston, including Precinct, T.T. the Bear’s Place, Church, Oliver’s Nightclub, All Asia, Copperfield’s, and Bill’s Bar. Selected to play the 2009 and 2010 International Pop Overthrow Festivals, Powderhouse released their debut album in July 2010. Songs from the album have received radio airplay and the album has garnered many positive reviews, and several songs were featured in the film “Wingman” The band recently released a new 6 song EP entitled "Through The Air", which they celebrated with a CD Release Show at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston in December of 2012. Most recently, the band was featured on “The Morning Show” on New England Cable News (NECN). Powderhouse is currently booking shows throughout the Northeast to support the new release.
Technical Requirements:
We require 2 vocal microphones and at least 3 monitors. We usually need a DI for 2 keyboards as well as the bass. Our guitarists use tube combos (a Fender Blues Deluxe and a Vox AC30, respectively). Our bass player uses a 300 watt solid-state head with a 4x10 cabinet. The keyboard player uses a Roland keyboard amp on-stage, mostly to monitor himself. The drummer uses a 5 piece Gretsch kit with a full compliment of cymbals.
