Red Meadow

RM was established about two years ago around the Schmalz family, which were eventually outnumbered by non-family members. Our style is like classic rock mixed with elements of country, alternative, jazz, folk & blues. We are above all a rock band. Most of us live in the Sea of Galilee area of Israel, although the girls live in Jerusalem
We have done a number of shows in our area, as well as played in the Jacob's Ladder folk festival for the last two years. We are currently recording demos and looking for a break
The name Red Meadow derives from the Red Meadow Lake in the Montana Rockies, where our cousin Christopher lost his life in a tragic avalanche in January 2006. Eli and Reuven wrote a song in tribute to Chris called "Red Meadow Lake", which evolved into the band's name.
