The band is called Revel Switch. Conceived and recorded in NYC, the music was written by Alex Miller who now resides in Portland, OR as of Fall, 2011.The band will include various players over time until a more permanent line-up is born.
Alex Miller grew up in Philadelphia, Long Island and in New York City where, as a teenager, he tried to soak up as much different music as he could from rock to folk to the punk and art rock goings on at CBGB's. He played music for an experimental theater group who played to tiny audiences all over the village-east and west- and chelsea. He listened to Bad Brains,Bob Dylan,Butthole Surfers,Buck Owens, and Bebop.
He was fortunate to have the album produced by Tony Maimone (bassist for art rock pioneers, Pere Ubu, in the eighties)and Bobby Lurie, drummer for The Billy Nayer Show.
