Rocket is a solo project led by Jason Turner who also fronts the Ohio indie-rock group Exceptional Edward, who have released three albums and played nearly a bizillion shows. The idea for Rocket was birthed in 2009. Jason, along with co-producers Jeff Anderson (formerly of Goatee records) and snyth savant Jesse Cale, met up at an expensive sushi restaurant in Japan to discuss their plans for a six-song EP release. The result of that power lunch and subsequent recording sessions is a debut record called Friend or Foe, to be released in 2009.
