About the Artist

In the summer of 2010 singer/songwriter Bobby Bradford and Miss Marywood Kate began work on a musical project that would eventually become, Statue of Liberty. The two spent most of the year compiling songs and working on demos before entering the studio in August to record their debut release entitled, “The Up-State EP.” The pair spent nearly a month recording tracks with producer Scott Miller at the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, MN before relocating to Des Moines, IA. Since their move the two have recruited Adam Cantrell on bass with Jim Harp on drums and have begun playing shows around the Midwest. With plans to release their EP in January 2011, the duo have begun promoting their material online and performing acoustic shows. After their 2011 release the band plans to tour extensively throughout the summer and return to the studio to record a second EP.
