About the Artist
Although the Mid-west is not typically associated with fresh and innovative new music, The Morleys have burst onto the St. Louis scene threatening the status quo. Their unique blending of 1930's swing jazz and funky, guitar-driven indie rock has proved to be appealing to show-goers of all ages.
Singer/songwriter Jen Galinski fronts the band with a distinctive and commanding voice that seems too big for her tiny 5'1'' frame. Many have likened her to a modern-day Billie Holiday. Drummer John King and guitarist Nick Olson also contribute heavily to The Morleys’ song writing and King supplies all of the band’s art work. Justin “Juice” Thompson is a hugely talented singer/song writer in his own right and the band is continually backlogged on new material. Bassist Doug Moser is the newest and youngest member of the band. His ever walking bass lines complete The Morleys sound.
Though still a new band, The Morleys are already drawing impressive crowds that are continually growing. Their huge catalogue of material works just as well as an acoustic set and their upbeat and energetic sound is attracting a wide range of people. The Morleys are high energy, silly and fun; true performers at their core.
