Local Bands "Battle" by French Lick Springs Casino Hosts Battle of the Ban
...following them, the group I clearly thought would have walked out the winner, was THE UNKNOWN. They had hit the stage on every round like true professionals. They looked, and acted the part, and blended a fine mix of covers and originals with an energy on stage reminiscent of Led Zeppelin or The Who. Where as the other groups in the contest were good for that "bar band" level, these guys were at that next step, theaters and concer halls. Thier humbleness and professionalism showed when, after the vote was in and they knew they would be going no further, they gracefully shook hands with the other groups, thanked the people running the show, and hung out to talk to the crowd...talk to THIER crowd now. We will be hearing more from those three gentlemen from Bedford who call themselves, THE UNKNOWN,I am sure of that." Springs Valley Herald(French Lick) 8-30

Memorable Forth by Local Group Highlights Fireworks
...Winding up to the big finale, the Independence Day fireworks, was a band from the Bedford area called, "THE UNKNOWN". They brought back memories, for this writer, of great shows I'd seen by The Who and Led Zeppelin long ago, that pure emotion and energy on stage. It turned out to be a great fit for the occasion, with the band playing power-house,original songs with titles such as "We the People","Forgotten Soldier",and "You Get What You Pay For",which were obviously songs written by patriots with a love for thier country. It was a Forth of July celebration I wll always remember, with a large part of that memory belonging to THE UNKNOWN." Mitchell/Bedford Times-Mail 7-6

Rock Festival Draws Locals by Original Music Isnt "Unknown"
...among other groups that took the stage on Saturday evening, and in my opinion only one of two that night that deservered to be on that large of a stage, was THE UNKNOWN,a trio based out of Bedford,Indiana. They hit the stage with a fierce abandon reminiscent of classic rockers like The Who,Led Zeppelin, and Cream. Thier rocking intensity was ever-present,even in what would be considered "mellow" rock hits. Indeed,I would have thought they were playing all rock hits, yet, with the exception of a heart wrenching version of "Aint No Sunshine"-the Bill Withers classic, the songs were all thier own. The music, while giving you something to listen to,gave you something to think about. It truely was how they had been described, "...music with a message..." This may have been an uneventful night,at an uneventful event, had it not been for the ever eventful music of THE UNKNOWN..." Cincinnati Enquirer 9-27
