About the ArtistThomas Nicholas is best known for his role as Kevin in the American Pie movies, but has been performing his original music for over 16 years. I. Technical Requirements 2.Sound Reinforcement System with two main speakers adequate for a large room, with 15” woofers and 1” horns. a. Speaker stands are required unless there is a mid-range/high pack resting on top of a sub on each side. 3. A mixing console with a. At least 16 input channels b. At least 3 band EQ adjustable on each
channel c. Adjustable EQ on the main mix. d. Separate monitor mix i. Monitor level control per channel ii. Monitor master level control 4. Three (3) Shure SM 58 vocal microphones (or industry equivalent) with boom mic stands 5. Five (5) wedge style floor monitors with one (1) fifteen (15) inch sub and horn, with separate mix from the main mix (not just separate volumes) 6. Two (2) Direct Input boxes for Artists Bass amp and Acoustic guitar. 7. 20x15 foot stage area, Artists would like to perform on some sort of raised platform (unless the audience is raised like an amphitheater) where available 8. Lights – If there is no theatrical lighting available, to appropriately identify the artist’s performance area as being “spotlighted” or simply identify the “stage” as a point towards which attention should be drawn. If theatrical lights are available, a single spotlight will do, or mood lighting, depending on the venue’s capability. House and Stage lights should be operated separately when possible. 9. Volume levels will be set, depending on the size of the room, according to levels similar to industry listening rooms – if the artist tells stories during the set
– a speaking voice should be easily audible and understandable by the audience. 10. Venue should provide someone knowledgeable of operating the sound when available. 11. Please have the sound system ready in order to begin on time. 12. If artist is responsible for operating sound, no levels will be readjusted after completion of sound check.
II. Hospitality 1. Artist would like a room to serve as a dressing room that will be kept private and secured. Access to a separate bathroom should be available, and a mirror. If the venue is capable of having a path from this room to the stage that is primarily out of sight of the audience, this is ideal. 2. (1) case of water (24) 20 oz. bottles of water or equivalent 3. 4 Meals with arrangements to be made with the venue’s food service for 4 people, to be taken care of at event /or a $75 dollar food buyout. 4. At least 1 bottle of Makers Mark Whiskey and 24 Beers (Stella, Corona, Coors Light, Bud Light) will be provided for the band. Or at least 24 Drink tickets to be used at the events Bar.
