About the ArtistWhat started with a 6 year old rocking a leather jacket and long hair listening to Tom Petty and Matthew Sweet steadily evolved from playing a new era of christian rock in the church where his dad preached to major record labels, expensive dinners "courting", and European tours. Even as a Columbia recording artist and writer it was never about anything more than the music for Trevor, lead vocals/-keys/guitar and his older brother Oran, lead guitar and vocals. The band Flick was founded in '96 and spread from coast to coast and overseas. Trevor wasn't even old enough to recognize the whirlwind of success as he lived the dream of a "man- child" with musical ability and raw talent topped with sheer presence and charisma moving crowds worldwide. Flick recorded and released an EP and LP, produced by Joe Baldridge, under Columbia records and was in the process of releasing another LP when both timing and circumstance took them in another direction bringing an end to their 8 year relationship with Columbia Records. Flick did go out in style by collaborating on their last LP with legendary UK native producer, Gill Norton (Foo Fighters, Patti Smith, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Counting Crows).
What seems like a lifetime lived in only 26 years has merely set the stage for another musical era and journey for Trevor. Today, you can find the youngest Thornton writing and recording for his solo project. No matter the band, no matter the time.....his music is pulled from his soul and the influences of the true rock and roll greats that left behind the magic music lacks today.
