The band has cited influences ranging from The Police to Nirvana and acknowledges that they owe their inspiration to many artists in various genres. “We all listen to different kinds of music,” says guitarist Alex Neal. “We each bring our own influences to help create our sound.”

2010 was action packed for FED they were chosen out of 100,000 acts that auditioned across the nation to perform on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. The show flew them to Las Vegas to compete in the top 100. FED was one of only four bands that were chosen before being eliminated prior to the show’s Hollywood round. Shortly after returning to Dallas, the band traveled to Nashville to record.

I think we’ve carved out a sound that we can call our own and feel proud of what it has become,” says Jacob. FED will release its second full-length album summer 2011.
