Jen Tobey is no stranger to the music business. She has been entertaining audiences big and small since 1995. Upon winning the 2004 Valley Advocate’s Songwriter Award she decided it was time to put together a band of solid players and go out to rock the stages of the Northeast. In April 2007, WRSI 93.9, presented Jen with the Best Songwriter Award. During this time, Jen Tobey’s Alter-Ego was on the verge of disbanding. In May Jen was introduced to Mike Demento, a lead guitarist from New York. The two immediately clicked and started polishing the new sound Jen had been envisioning since the beginning. The addition of drummer extraordinaire, Ryan Behan, and bassist, Jeff Steblea, sealed the deal for Jen Tobey’s Alter-Ego. Jen finally put together a group of top players to achieve the sound she had set out to create. Having been together just a little over a year, JTAE has opened for major artists such as: Collective Soul, The Last Goodnight, Cracker, Girl In A Coma, LA Guns, The Cliks, and Eve 6.
