Boston-based singer/songwriter Jon Robert has been delivering his own brand of infectious pop/rock melodies, emotive vocals and sincere passion from Maine to California for the last four years. Through extensive touring Jon has built a solid fan base on the foundation of his debut record "Meant To Be"
Most recently Jon was selected by Myspace/Intercope Records as a TOP 5 finalist in Toyota Music’s ‘Rock The Space’ record deal competition from over 20,000 myspace bands, gaining him an overwhelming global online fan base. Accompanying his online success, Jon’s first EP “Racing The Sun” was licensed to MTV and received multiple placements on The Real World (Sydney and Brooklyn), The Gauntlet III, and most recently, The Hills. His song “Touch Down” was featured on the show’s season finale, an episode watched by an estimated 34 million viewers.
Jon’s career was launched when asked to support teen pop sensation JoJo in a 4000-seat venue in Massachusetts. With an overwhelming positive crowd response, it led to many more coveted opening slots this past summer, sharing bills with John Mayer, Colbie Caillat, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, James Blunt exclusively at Nikon Jones Beach Theater in NYC.
On June 2nd, 2009 Jon released his debut album “Meant To Be”. A large percentage of all albums sales are donated to LIVESTRONG the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer research. Something that Jon believes in deeply we can make a difference in.
Jon is currently working on a new record. With a tentative fall 2010 release date. All tour dates will be posted soon in lieu of the release.
