Kevin Toler seems to have a diverse abundance of skill and talent that has shown in his songwriting and performing throughout his career. His career expands from his teenage years and still continuing to his current release "TOLER ECLIPSE" in Nov. 2008. Kevins very unique approach to writing and performing extends from his earlier days of producing, performing, and studio work in LA, CA, San Diego, CA, Chicago, Ill., and throughout the Midwest, USA. He has worked, performed and recorded with such artists as Frank Gambale, Alan White, Kolt, Al Di Meola, Steve Morse, Frank Zappa, Joe Pass, Joe Diorio, and many others. Although this has only added to his arsenal of professionalism and meticulous yet soulful writing and recording. As Kevins music comes from his soul and seemingly moves into yours, he states that one of his best tools are his ears, as he thinks that listening is the best way to get the music to pour from your soul. Additionally, by being a very positive and proficient multi-instrumentalist utilizing many different guitars, pianos, keyboards, synthesizers, Drums and percussion and his voice, he really takes the listener on a musical journey of his very own flavor. This has elements of Rock, Jazz, Acoustic, New Age, Alternative Rock, Contemporary, Experimental, Pop and his own blend of fusing them all together to create a very original, unique listening experience for the young and not so young listeners alike. Kevin played and studied mostly himself from the age of 11 yrs old till he was 22 yrs old in 1986 in the Midwest Chicago, Ill. and that year he went to Los Angeles, CA. to study music and performance with the best teachers/players the west had to offer at the Musicians Institute (G.I.T.), (B.I.T.), (P.I.T.) in Hollywood, CA. This is where he really perfected his already sharp sense of musical understanding and creation after already writing and playing gigs with many bands at an early age in Chicago, also touring the Midwest with many bands and artists giving him much writing, performing and recording diversity and experience. Additionally, he composed, recorded and performed two (2) of the hit tracks, "The Wheel" and "Nightwatch" for the Guitar Institute of Technology's CD compilation "Guitar Masters-Vol. 1", featuring Joe Diorio, Frank Gambale, Gary Willis, Scott Hendersen, Effrain Torro, Kevin Toler and many others from the Musicians Institute, (G.I.T.), (B.I.T.), (P.I.T.), (V.I.T.) and (K.I.T.).
