Description
The song starts off slower and acoustic and builds to a powerful last chorus. It is inspired by a friend in NYC who has a boyfriend going into the ROTC back home in Wisconsin. She said on Valentine's Day, "He sent me all the love from Wisconsin" and that inspired me to write this song.
Lyrics
Wisconsin Jeffrey G. Cafone, 11/10/09 Don’t you tell me that the days are ever long enough Night sky, God’s eye is closing in With an angry mob of stars so bright and shimmering There is you and there is nothing and there is nothing in between I see your face in movies and on the television screen I’ll send you all the love from Wisconsin I’ll send you letters and flowers and birthday cards I’ll send you all the love from Wisconsin You’re a thousand miles away but I feel you every day I can’t hear you stereo; I can’t see you in video But I can picture you by the songs on the radio Songs without music There is you and there is nothing and there is nothing in between I see your face in movies and on the television screen I’ll send you all the love from Wisconsin I’ll send you letters and flowers and birthday cards I’ll send you all the love from Wisconsin You’re a thousand miles away but I feel you every day I act so dumb but some things are just too good to be smart about And it’s easier to be angry then it is to be scared So I crawl inside and my tongue is tied But I guess when it comes down to it in the end the only thing I can really do is Send you all the love from Wisconsin I’ll send you letters and flowers and birthday cards I’ll send you all the love from Wisconsin You’re a thousand miles away but I feel you every day
