Description
This song is mainly based around the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911 in New York City. On a Saturday afternoon in March 1911 the building set ablaze killing several hundred young immigrant girls/factory workers. No one could get to the 9th floor in time and some girls had to jump to their death. I found myself sort of relating to the feeling of being trapped without rescue. So there is definitely a personal side to this song as well.
