Sad Girl

"Sad Girl" was a surprise song for me. It popped out while I was trying to write a "happy song" for a friend who worries that my writing focuses too much on the bad events of my life. I think it turned out playfully optimistic for a song with such a candid view of my true feelings. And I'm unusually pleased with how well that one idea sums me up as a person.
