Sweet Little Pony of Mine was written by David James & Maty Eitner. The video was produced by Bob Kelly of Smithfield, Virginia. The vocals were performed by Bria Kelly of Smithfield, Virginia. Originally, Maty Eitner, an eleven year old girl from Monroe, Oregon, had contacted David James, a songwriter from Chesapeake, Virginia, on My Space. She asked him if he would write a song about her ailing pony, Laddie.
