If your thinking of reggae in Africa, then you must be the first one to hear this type of sound! Festive Congas, Marimbas, Guitars. With tambourines, strings and DJ scratch-boards to start. Ambient backgrounds and synths accompanied with drums and percussion, you have it all!
I loved the combination of timbres here. Full of life
I think the mix was a little hot for such timbres though, but heh, its top 20 worthy so who I am to judge Oh... wait
The only improvements I could see here would be to completely change your rhythms for a more defined chorus as aposed to a build on loops or change in timbre usage. You have a lot of drive, great rhythms, but none of it really tells a story, it more so follows a trail, where we don't experience as much around us as we could "when you climax.
You're bridges and breakdowns rule. So please don't confuse. I'm talking about the ultimate "this is #$%@ing IT BABY!
Just thoughts to go from "awesome" to "perfect and irrefutable." Great track, awesome composing, and wonderful theme.
