Description
"Soon Enough" is a song written from the perspective of a soldier writing home to his girl from the war in Iraq reassuring her that they will be together again. He tells her hard it is to be so far away but lets her know that he is faithful that he will be home to her soon enough.
Lyrics
I know that I’m far away, I know that it’s hard to say, How I feel, through telephone wires. But know that how I feel for you, And know that how I fell for you. Is true, I’m missin you. I will see you soon, I will see you soon. I’ll be yours and you’ll be mine. We’ll say hello as though, we never said Goodbye. I’ll make sure that you’ll be fine. Just stay with me my love, And you’ll be fine. This is all so confusing, I don’t think that I can be just who they want me to be If this war’s a must, then in God we’ll trust, that He’s gon’ bring me back to you again. And these thoughts of you they fly just like these bullets do, so I write your name across my chest and hold my breath that…. When it all comes back around, There’s not a feeling or a sound, That I would rather hear, than your heart- beat. And these thoughts of you, they fly just like these bullets do, So I write your name across my chest and hold my breath that… I will see you soon. I will see you soon. I'll be yours and you'll be mine we'll say hello as though we never said goodbye i'll make sure that you'll be fine just stay with me my love and you'll be fine.
