"What I Feel Is All The Pain" Copyright © 1998, 2011 Timothy S. Klugh. All Rights Reserved. A world of anger and growing danger Just makes me want to hide. The things I loved so long ago Vanished over time and died. The miracles that a wondrous God made Man’s cast from him as a lie. The chance for hope of troubled souls Have drifted away… And what I feel is all the pain, And it’s so much I go insane. When I look ‘round me and I see cold eyes and hard stone minds, I fear we’re too late to be saved. And I cannot believe our ways To disregard what made us great. Our arrogance has made us blind to the truth: O, Heav’nly Father! Your children have gone astray. A time of trials, we build the piles. We put our own lives in dismay. We claim if such a God was just, He’d take our sufferings away. But do we try to help our brothers Or have we forgotten how? Our sacrifices have become few... Who’s gonna’ help us now? And I still feel all the pain And it’s so much I go insane. When I look ‘round me and I see cold eyes and hard stone minds, I fear we’re too late to be saved. And I cannot believe our ways To disregard what made us great. Our arrogance has made us blind to the truth: O, Heav’nly Father! Your children have gone astray. The only virtues that lasted for years We now call old-fashion today. We destroy what was and build up the new And ridicule at the old ways. Our world without wisdom and no foundation Is crumbling down to the ground, But we don’t see it - all the agony, So, all is lost. And what I feel is all the pain And it’s so much I go insane. When I look ‘round me and I see cold eyes and hard stone minds, I fear we’re too late to be saved. And I cannot believe our ways To disregard what made us great. Our arrogance has made us blind to the truth: O, Heav’nly Father! We truly have gone astray.
