Description
I wrote this song after the loss of my dear Grandpa. He was an incredible role model who taught me deep morals and great advice about dealing with every day life and coping with it's most difficult moments. The chorus was modeled after his wise words. Every time I sing this song it touches so many people. I hope it reminds others to love their love ones like it's their last day together and to always keep their faith in God. Grandpa, I miss you! This song is for you.
Lyrics
It was 1991, when my journey begun. I remember sittin on my Grandpa's knee. Worship Sunday morning, he taught me how to pray, knowing right from wrong was everything. But when I wasn't sure, he would take the extra time. To explain the truth and set me down to say. Put your hands together, when your not sure what to do. You may not hear the answer right away. Close your eyes and listen, cause HE knows what's best for you. The hurt you feel right now won't last forever, Put your hands together. When I moved away, I did my best to make him proud. But making some mistakes along the way. Disappointed in myself, it didn't take to long. To stumble down the road that I had made. So I called him up, wanting him to understand, that I tried to hard, it didn't turn out like I'd planned, and he said. Put your hands together, when your not sure what to do. You may not here the answer right away. Close your eyes and listen, cause HE knows what's best for you. The hurt you feel right now won't last forever, put your hands together. At his graveside on my knees, I was overwhelmed with my grief. It read a faithful servent lied beneath the stone. It wasn't fair, that he's gone, I can't go on, then I heard my grandpa say. Put your hands together, when your not sure what to do. You may not hear the answer right away, close your eyes and listen, cause HE knows what's best for you. The hurt you feel right now won't last forever, You know we'll meet in heaven.
