"Boom Sheke Nana" is a mixture of Norah Jones, Nelly Furtado, and the sexy, exotic sounds of Shakira. The song won the *Grand Prize* in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Competition! The words "boom sheke nana" are made-up to represent the anxiety Sinem felt at night during a difficult period in her life, tossing and turning, sleeping in bathtubs and engaging in other quirky activities in hopes of finding rest, resolution, and shaking off a restless state-of-mind.
