Pasthene

Pasthene was an astonishingly pleasant surprise, coming together in the studio. I only had a bass line and two vocals, to be sung in a round. I didn't even have lyrics! I perused my producer's bookcase in search of something, found a book on old Irish myths, and chose Pasthene. It was mind-blowing how well the text fit into my song!! More vocals and instruments were added, including double bass courtesy of my producer and friend, Michael Verzani. The photo is of my mom when she was a teen.
