Greenbrier County

A scene in Frank McCourt’s memoir, Angela’s Ashes, inspired this song. He describes two men sitting in a pub--one man is covered in black coal dust and the other is covered in white limestone. I transposed this image to a county in West Virginia that had both coal and limestone--Greenbrier County.
