Lyrics
When that howling wind, came like a freight train, That little town, would never be the same, And it ripped the roof's off,and blew the windows out, It was a monster, giving us a clout, And when it was done,in a few minutes or less, We all came out of hiding, and saw that mess, It was time to take stock,of the damage done, The trees were all down,it was really bad for some, Chorus And the chain saws fired up,and clean up began, People came from everywhere,to give a helping hand, And there was police, setting up,at every turn, And the restoration company's,were starting to yearn, Bridge Some folks had to leave their homes, cause they weren't safe, They'll have to be inspected, and maybe strafed, Some helped out, with food and drink, Cause the people that got hit, couldn't even think, The phones and hydro, had been out for days, The crews were working round the clock, and we were amazed, We were overwhelmed, by the generosity, Some were just drawn here,by curiosity, Chorus+Bridge Its been about a week now,and the hydro's back on, We'll be able to see better now,the damage that was done, The body shops are overloaded, and can't keep up, The restaurants are busy, with those coffee cups, I guess we were lucky,to come thru that alive, But there was one person, that did not survive, And many more were injured, but they will soon thrive, And the town will be as busy,as a beehive! Chorus
