A spicy wind blows through these autumn trees tonight And carelessly it brushes the leaves from their branches Quickly they find their places on the ground And they set the stage For the midnight dance of the fawns and the elves The elves they play their games quietly And they think no one can hear them But if you listen close enough you can barely hear their music Sometimes it’s hard to remember That there’s more than this world Sometimes I forget that I won’t be here forever Sometimes I fall completely in love With the world all around me Sometimes I wish this would never end Then I get that feeling That seems to come a lot these days And it leaves me feeling a little bit more lonely inside It’s a dark evergreen wood And it’s wild and beautiful With a sun dappled path That looks like it might lead anywhere I can feel the quiet I can hear the trees whispering Passing their secrets through the air I think this must be a little bit like heaven And I know it’s right where I belong
