Iris opens on a Private Eye hunched over the desk in their otherwise empty office, engrossed in the construction of a monument to procrastination assembled out of discarded cigarette butts... shadows yawn across the room as the sun sets behind the city... as the last shred of sunlight makes way for the arrival of the shroud of night, the Gumshoe caught unawares by this endless evening masquerading as an ordinary lackadaisical day.
