Description
This is a song about moving on. I wrote it after I graduated college, a few years ago. I wasn't sure about anything, except that I wanted to move out of New Haven CT and to New York City. (Truth be told, it hasn't happened just yet, but I'm working on it). I think this song speaks to the adventurous spirit, the lonesomeness that can sometimes accompany the desire to chase dreams, and the unsteadiness that can walk in tandem with new surroundings.

New York City Bound Music by Seth Adam Lyrics by Seth Adam © 2010 Seth Adam, BMI Look at me It's graduation I probably should have done this long before But they say Never too late, son Now I'm the pride of my mother's eyes A child that she adores And I question if I'm better And I'm curious what now 'Cause I fell out of love with New Haven The train is coming 'round I think I'm New York City bound We're living in these times of trouble Uncertain as an everyday hello It's like feeling through a darkened hallway You're looking for the best way out to the arms of what you know And I question if I'm better And I'm curious what now 'Cause I fell out of love with New Haven The train is coming 'round I think I'm New York City bound Find a new place for a change Too much here just feels the same and I'm looking for her now I'll find that city somehow And I question if I'm better And I'm curious what now 'Cause I fell out of love with New Haven The train is coming 'round I think I'm New York City bound
