Comments for I Would Trade (Grandpa's Song

Portrait of Jaime Anderson

I would like to begin by saying I have never posted anything online, and I don not even have a Facebook profile for potilical reasons and so I hope this tells you how much this song has struck a chord with in my heart. I am an Oncology Nurse and more specifically a navagator.Which means I deal with patients every day, multple patients eveyday, that my heart bleeds for, your song is the life they live eveyday, the one I so desperately attempt to help. But, I too would like to trade place places with them, for example: with a young mother or father who is about to die leaving behind small children, or a young adult who has just gotten into college or found there first love and has to say good bye to a world they have barely gottten to know, so Thank you for your song. It helps to know we're not alone, in are thoughts and please forgive the rants of nurse, I'm sorry if this was not the right forum for these comments, I warned you I don't ever do this. Thank you for reading. Thank you for the song, It is very special. I do know a little about music my husband is a musican and owns a studio, when he gets back into town I can't wait to share this song with him, as I have just discovered it, again thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love it.

First let me say that I LOVED the song, and it was nice to hear some out of the ordinary chord progressions -  a couple of things I would do is to underlay that viola you have in the beginning thoughout the song sopratically - not just in the break - also the girl should do a couple of teaser vocals behind your verse - her entrance was lets say unexpected - I think the "I would take" lyrics are just a little too staccato and the listener gets the impression that your taking a breath after each word - maybe just use a different style occasionally when that phrase comes around.
