The AfroCuban influence is all over this arrangement of the Joe Henderson classic. The bass groove is derived from the funkafied tumbao style which is a hybrid that has become prominent in many jazz tunes today. The electric guitar montuno adds some great color as the tenor sax pays homage to the great Joe Henderson himself.
