Description
This song is about a plea to a friend to come back to reality. Once a good friend, she turned her gaze to the darkness in the world. Sensing a darker theme of old, I wrote accordingly. Experimental, and very new to me, I hope you will appreciate this song for what it is: a strained cry to help a friend, drowning in dire straits.
Lyrics
There's always a way To sail down dire straits But when the shore calls The best of brave men face delays And in the rougher seas You will not find the absentees Who took the world on For all of their posterity And coinage is to burden As wickets face the burning here, Here, And life's looking uptown from here But to get there you'll have to cheat... You've been thereafter a Cheat Conceited life had let you down It's not a bright verdict And of your Endeavors If it's in vain, You've gone too far And I fear That you're digging In too deep Cheat, you've become A sum of all your actions And denial will come first Cheat, You're waning For a lost cause And I hope you'll find Your way Your way Your way
