"Open The Gates" was written and composed by Derrick Schneider and Will Taggart in 2009. The completion of the music was then composed by the rest of the band members, Brett Frey and Austin Blau. It was one of The Rapid Fire's first rock/metal original songs written and recorded. The song gives the illusion of never knowing what will happen when the gates are opened.
