Pleased is a very interesting song for me. I wrote it four years ago while I was very upset about a situation with an old friend of mine. It reflects what happens when someone says sorry and doesn't mean it, even though they think it does. People do things sometimes that they think will do right by others, but in reality it hurts more than it helps.
