"Carrie" is a song about a guy who's in a relationship with a girl who is totally not right for him but he fools himself into thinking that she is. He sees her faults and realizes them but chooses to look past them simply because he's in a relationship with the girl. Throughout the song I attempted to give the impression that the boyfriend of Carrie , at times, doubts his relationship with her and wonders whether or not it's worth it staying with her considering all her faults.
