Description
I wrote this song in response to the city of Portland's attempts to outlaw homelessness by way of a no sit-or-lie ordinance. The ordinance was found to be unconstitutional, but the city is not giving up the fight yet. Currently, Portland is revising the ordinance to be more Politically correct and covert in violating civil rights.
Lyrics
Pray, yes, I pray that they won't come my way. I've been here my whole life just trying to survive. now I stand here for days without closing my eyes because I know that the rule is no sit or lie. It's okay, you don't owe me anything I've been treated worse than this most of my life It's okay, you don't owe me anything I'm just the kind of piece of trash that can't lay by the side of the road.
