Competitions and Opportunities for September 2010

Help determine which rising artist will land a spot opening for the Songwriters Hall of Fame winners, the Goo Goo Dolls.

SUBWAY® restaurants has joined forces with music and entertainment leaders, iheartradio, to present the "SUBWAY FRESH ARTISTS™" Competition powered by OurStage.com. Beginning September 10, 2010 all pop, rock, country artists and female or male singer-songwriters are invited to upload a fresh new track in the "SUBWAY FRESH ARTISTS™" Music Competition Channel. Entries should be upbeat and inspire people to get a fresh start to a new day.

The "SUBWAY FRESH ARTISTS™" Competition will run in 2 parts: one in September (Regional) and the other in October (National Finals). In September, competitions will be held in 10 regions throughout the U.S. At the end of the month, Clear Channel Radio Program Directors will select a winner from the Top 10 ranked artists in each region (10 total) to receive a $1000 cash prize, promotion through Clear Channel and OurStage.com in addition to SUBWAY® gift cards.

Additionally, the Top 50 ranked artists in each region (500 total) will automatically advance to the national finals competition in October. Fans will judge the artists' tracks to determine the Top 20 ranked artists nationally. At the end of the month, an expert panel of judges, including member of the Goo Goo Dolls, will select one grand prize-winner to open for the Goo Goo Dolls on their 2010 fall tour.
