Competitions and Opportunities for April 2011
Ever since the show's inception in 2001, BET's 106 & Park has been a one-stop shop for fans to discover the hottest rising hip hop and R&B acts on the scene in addition to being one of the networks top-rated shows. In May, OurStage and BET are giving one lucky Grand Prize Winner a chance to dance, rock and rhyme their butts off in front of a massive televised audience on the June 1st episode of 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday. If you're a male R&B solo artist or a male R&B vocal group, between the ages of 18 and 28, and are ready to show the world you've got what it takes, then the time has come for you to enter your best R&B track in the BET "106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday" Competition. The competition is open for submissions until May 4, 2011, so enter before it's too late!
Participants must be between eighteen (18) and twenty-eight (28) years of age at time of entry and must reside within the 48 contiguous United States. Artists must own 100% of the rights to the music being submitted.
Entries must contain vocals, but do not have to consist solely of vocals. Entries may be accompanied by musical instruments.
Entrants must include a live video performance in their OurStage EPK.
Entrants must also include a high-resolution photo in their OurStage EPK.
Only submission materials that are determined, at the sole discretion of the Sponsors, to be classified as R&B as defined on the OurStage FAQ's will be deemed valid entries.
It is the winner's sole responsibility to arrange transportation to and from the BET's 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday production studios located in New York City. Winner also accepts sole responsibility for any miscellaneous costs relating to acceptance of prize.
