The young Detroit native: writes, records, produces, and mix/masters his own original music. Shon Wil’s first interest in music came at a very young age, writting poetry to
relieve emotions and stress. His major influences are Notorious BIG, 2-Pac, and Jay-Z. “I believe the rap game is upside down, and my goal is to put it back right side up,” says the young artist. This perfectionist is about gaining creative control and establishing credibility. Shon is the true definition of an all around artist.
The summer of 2009 will heat up when this talented new artist drops his debut album! A1 Records hit the streets on October 31, 2006 with the release of Shon Wil’s “Get Real”
Mix-tape, pushing over 4,000 copies. He is now residing in Chicago, working on his bachelor degree in Game Art Design. From drawing to painting, his gifted hands has done portraits for celebrities, as well as, backdrops for clubs and concerts. Shon has also starred in a
television show entitled “Brush with Greatness”, where he demonstrated the steps on how to paint a portrait.
Shon Wil is currently working on his clothing line, made for men and women of all ages, set to release summer of 2009. All products are designed by Shon Wil.
