Currently works as a professional guitarist, performing concerts, and playing at private parties and events.  He composes and produces music for film and TV.  He is also a top private music teacher. As a film composer, Aaron's music is featured in "Purple Haze," the Sundance Grand Prize winning film, and worked on movie trailers for "Body of Evidence" (Madonna), "Groundhog's Day," (Bill Murray), and many more.   He has produced work for network ABC television with Chris Mancini, MTV, and commercials for T. J. Martel Foundation for Cancer research. As a recording artist Aaron first had success with his band "Aaron Wolfson & The Chemicals."  His song "Czechoslovakia," voted as one of the best new bands in Southern California by listeners of radio station KROQ 106.7FM. His current CD, titled "AARON WOLFSON," has several #1 songs.  "DADDY'S GONE AWAY," #1 on NEIL YOUNG's website, "Living with War Today (videos).  And, "YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE," #1 on SongVault.fm.com. Aaron was first inspired by great British rock bands and American blues artists.  "I love any music that is done with real intelligence and passion."  He creates songs that are easy to listen to, with improvised guitar solos, giving the audience an experience of something real; that is being created in the moment."  And, Aaron plays bass and keyboards as well, and is a producer in his own right.  He has an extensive catalogue and library of songs and music: Rock, jazz, country, blues, classical, and instrumental music. Aaron studied at Musicians Institute (GIT), LA Valley College, The Dick Grove School of Music (a professional music school), studied with film composer Dr. Albert Harris, and at seminars at USC.  He studied guitar with Jimmy Wybol (Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys), John Collins (Billie Holiday; Nat King Cole; Dizzy Gillespie), Ted Greene (guitar master), and Charlie Shoemake (George Shearing). Below is more detail about the technical side of what we used to record with in terms of guitars, amps, microphones, etc. Thank you. ;-) Aaron More Detail: We recorded digitally using some Neve mic preamplifiers, and some rare German Telefunken compressors and EQs (the type the Beatles used). We also used a red Marshall amp from the Howard Leese, the guitar player from Heart, a Carvin Legacy amp borrowed from Steve Vai; Eventide 3000 Harmonizer, some vintage Fender Teles and P-Bass, Ovation and Taylor acoustic guitars, a Jackson strat, an E-Bow, Line 6 Pod; a Randall Commander 100 watt amp that Doug Messenger, guitar player from Van Morrison turned me on to; a Roland 3000 delay, a Digitec RP 100; Shure, ATA, Rode mics.
