Every day I wake up and am so incredibly thankful for my life, family, and friends and can’t believe that I get to make music for a living. Thank you to everyone for your constant love, support and belief in my music. For those of you who don’t know me, here’s a little bit about myself. I grew up in Tyrone, Georgia, a town so small that until recently the mayor was also my school bus driver as a child. Yes, that’s right, my school bus driver! I think I sang at every talent show, fair, festival, musical, anything possible!! If there was a stage and microphone, you’d better believe I was on it! After high school, I attended Georgia State University on the Bill Lowery Scholarship for music where I earned a degree in Sound Recording. If I was going to record music as an artist, then I wanted to know what happened in the studio. Upon graduation from GSU, I worked for the Lowery Music Group, whose many publishing successes include Ray Stevens, Waylon Jennings, Wynonna Judd and Travis Tritt. It was an honor to work for Bill Lowery. Having grown up playing the violin, in college I discovered that you could also play in bands. So I started learning fiddle, got a pickup put on my violin and joined some bands. Later on I formed my own band and we had so many great opportunities. One day after opening on a side stage for Toby Keith, I met Toby’s lead guitarist Rich Eckhardt. He encouraged me to come on up to Nashville to do some recording. With his help, I did just that. Shortly after recording, I decided I needed to make the move to Music City. Since then I’ve been busy singing, playing fiddle, songwriting and still getting on every stage every chance that I can. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to share the stage with so many amazing artists, such as Alison Krauss and Union Station, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Clay Walker, Little Texas, Asleep at the Wheel, Neal McCoy, Blue County, Kentucky Headhunters and others. I love singing on my own, but I also love playing fiddle and singing harmonies for other artists, such as Luke Bryan, Gary Nichols and Danielle Peck. Some of my favorites venues to perform range from Nashville’s Bluebird Café and the Wildhorse Saloon to Georgia’s own Eddie’s Attic, Swallow at the Hollow and the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. Most recently I sang and played fiddle in a country duo called Levi Rose with Jason Salzer. We were managed by Mission Management (Rendy Lovelady and Tracy McGlocklin) , who also managed Little Big Town, Jennifer Hanson and Darryl Worely. It was an incredible ride and experience in which I’m very grateful for having. When I’m not on stage singing, I love riding my bike for charity rides, training for sprint triathlons, bake (especially red velvet cake), taking the doggies to the dog park, chill with my cat, hang out with friends, eat french fries and popcorn (my two weaknesses), watch episodes of Lost and Friends and very importantly, hang out with my hubby…. I recently got married! yay! I’m learning that life just keeps getting better every year. I love songwriting, playing my fiddle and singing out as much as possible. Please keep checking back for more music and updates. Thanks for listening to my music and I hope to see you at a show soon! Love, Alisa
