About Alize Ashley Johnson aka Alize was born on September 7,1987 in Baltimore, Maryland. At a very young age she began to find a love for music. As a child she would lock herself in her room for hours and perform her favorite songs. When she was in the third grade she enter her first talent show even though there were no winners Alize blew the crowd away. When she was in middle school Alize and her friends would take turns singing different songs. By the time she was in the 9th grade she began to find her true passion rapping. Alize would sit for hours writing raps and trying different sounds and styles. She never told anyone about her new found passion until one day when her brother David Johnson aka Da Truth and friend Matthew Talley aka Haze decided to start a rap group. Hearing this Alize wanted to be a member but first had to prove herself and which she did. They started a group called the pack along with another member. Being the only girl in the group was no problem for Alize she could hold her own and came just as hard even sometimes harder then the boys. They started to perform at different shows and by the time Alize was in the 12th grade all her classmates knew of her secret passion and Alize had made a name for herself. At lunch time she would rap for her classmates, teachers, and principle who would call her little missy elliot. Alize continued to rap with the group after finishing high school. A few years later Alize decided to leave the group and focused more on finding work. Even though she was not performing and recording music, she never lost her passion and never stop writing. It wasn’t long before she got back to music knowing she couldn’t stay away for long. This time doing things her way Alize decided to be a solo artist. Determine to make a name for herself and not be compare to other female artist. With a unique sound and undeniable style Alize continued to rise the bar and set the standards for female rappers everywhere.
