If ever there was a band that represented the true face of Philadelphia, it is the multi-racial, multi-talented, multi-faceted musical entity known as All Crazy. Born in the winter of 2006, All Crazy has been working steadily for the past two years to spread the spirit of brotherly love from its native city to the greater country as a whole. With the recent release of their debut album--Sex Drugs and Hip-Rock--a steady tour schedule, and a live show that guarantees its fans to take their shirts off, dance drunkenly around the venue, and go home with a stranger, the band seems well on their way to accomplishing their goals.Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of All Crazy, however, is the style of music they play. An original blend of funky bass-lines, guitar driven rock-and-roll, electric violin riffs, catchy hooks, and both rock and hip-hop vocals, the All Crazy sound is truly unique. If it didn't rock so hard, one might almost be tempted to call it hip-hop. If it didn't make you shake your ass so much, one might almost call it modern rock. Shedding all traditional genres, however, there is only one-way to describe the music of All Crazy: Hip-Rock. At the end of the day, the thing that All Crazy is most proud of is their fans. In the past two years, All Crazy has built a fan-base up and down the east-coast that is as diverse as the band. Black and white, male and female, urban and suburban--come to any All Crazy concert and you will see everyone together (the "All Crazy Family" as the band likes to refer to their fans) rocking their All Crazy t-shirts, dancing with each other, and getting generally crazy. And perhaps that is the truest appeal of All Crazy. They are equal parts a party-band, musical innovators, and socially conscious poets. Theirs is a sound that defies all labeling yet appeals to all people. It is a sound that is free of all prejudice, open to all influences, and clear of all stereotypes. It is, as the title of their album implies, all about the "Sex, Drugs, and Hip-Rock."
