Amanda Ihle’s 18 year-old beautiful and caring soul couldn’t find a better place to be than in her songwriting. It is here where she expresses the excitement of youth, the wholesomeness of first love, and the fantasy of dreams yet to be realized. Amanda was born under the sign of cancer, in the summer of 1992, surrounded by the green fields of Polk City, Iowa. This vivacious pop/country singer-songwriter still enjoys living in the country with her parents and 16 year-old brother Jordan. She understood early in life that her path would be different than most, as her interests lied unquestionably in music. With the strength and love of her family beside her, Amanda has experienced opportunities helping to develop in her the tools necessary to pursue the realization of her dreams. “My family not only supports me, but they motivate me every day. They have taught me to work hard, to be the best I can possibly be.” At the age of 9 Amanda realized she could best express her feelings and set her soul free, by writing songs even at the saddest of moments. “I wrote my first song for my grandma’s funeral; when I sang it, people at the church were moved by the lyrics. I said to myself I can really write music!” Later, Amanda started to not only perform solos in musicals at school, but to sing at top venues in her local area; including singing of the National Anthem at the Wells Fargo Arena before an audience of thousands. She also developed a love for acting which led Amanda to attend Adrian R’Mante’s Disney Camp in Beverly Hills, CA. Here she was able to spend 6 weeks with fifty kids from all around the globe participating in workshops with a variety of acting coaches, directors, and film producers. Never diverted from her true calling, she has continued through the years in taking formal vocal lessons and working to hone and strengthen her songwriting skills. “Songwriting comes naturally for me; it is the best way to express how I feel and how other teens seem to feel about love, school, and life in general. Younger generations need role models; I look forward to being one of them by delivering a good message through my lyrics.” Inspired greatly by other artists of her generation such as Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, Amanda says she can totally relate to them and their style of lyrics. “I love Taylor’s song, Fifteen, I think what it says is totally true, it describes exactly how things are when you’re in high school and all the things you have to go through, and the feelings you have but don’t quite understand yet because you are young.” Find Yourself, is Amanda’s debut album. It is a showcase of her enormous songwriting talent blended with her melodic voice and strong interpretative capability. Songs in the album include the title debut "Find Yourself"‚ "Stay", "Invisible", "Lullabies", and "Breakdown". "Breakdown" is one of Amanda’s favorites, because despite it being a sad song it is also a very inspiring one. “It’s an ‘I can really do this’ song, it’s about not giving up in difficult times, and believing that everything is going to be alright.” Coming from a big farm family, Amanda was raised with strong family values that have taught her to care for other people. She values the importance of kids having good role models, not only from the music they listen to but from what they are exposed to by mainstream media. “Kids are the future, that’s why they need to be impacted by good role models. I really care about kids and that’s why I want to sing for the younger generation.” Find Yourself, is an album with soul that seeks to enrich the pop/country music world with its unique pureness in lyric style. As fame awaits to embrace Amanda Ihles’ musical talent, she remains true to her unquestionable driving force, “I care deeply about being a singer and continuing to write my songs, ultimately, that is what really matters to me!”
