In a town where the movie theatre was the main attraction she learned to sew, paint, take photographs, upholster furniture and write songs. She wrote her first song when she was seventeen and has not been able to stop since. On March 13, 2010 - Anita proudly released her self-produced album, The Curse & The Gift - an exploration of the duality of being human. The joy & the sorrow, the good & the bad, the light & the dark... the curse & the gift. It is Anita's intention to never again work a job that has "customer service" in the job description and to find creative and steady ways of supporting herself through art and music.
