When you first meet Anosha you see a tiny girl with big hair and a big personality. With her mix of Pop, R&B, Electro Soul, undeniable charisma, and hook-laden tracks this quirky, talented young lady, is one to watch out for. The name Anosha means “immortal”, so it was no surprise that at age 10, Anosha began to convey her thoughts through one of the most immortal forms of expression, music. “I wrote my first song at age 10. It had no music so I like to call it a poem with a melody. It was super deep, about children starving in the world I think. I’m pretty sure that was the influence of my super politically conscious family.” After exploring the endless options of writing, and learning to use her previous piano training to harmonize with her song ideas, Anosha’s passion for music and her writing talents, became evident. “Music had become this hobby I was obsessed with.” She recorded her first official song at age 16, and began working in the studio every weekend, honing her craft and contributing to other people’s projects. “I remember being in there sometimes 12-14 hours, then going to school the next day!” Although Anosha was attending Mass College of Art studying for a fashion degree, her dedication to music pushed her to transfer to the prestigious Berklee College of Music. “I feel that I learned the most from the students at Berklee. The better they were, the better I wanted to be. I fell in love with music even more.” She began performing all around Boston, working with producers from around the globe, and as she grew, so did her fan base. Her work has appeared on albums from Portugal to Germany and all across the U.S. Anosha is now focused on releasing her debut album to the world, “March of the Fools”. “I would like to thank Prince, Madonna, and of course Michael Jackson for not being afraid to be different and paving the way for new artists like me, you are truly my biggest influences, there will never be anyone as great as you in this pop world.” The name? Anosha.
