Biography

Armory has been a band for almost 4 years now. They formed in the spring of 2005 after lead vocalist Justin Wisner had played in a number of bands that had gone nowhere and he decided he wanted to create music he loved, with people he loved, and go somewhere with it. Armory has been a band for almost 4 years now. They formed in the spring of 2005 after lead vocalist Justin Wisner had played in a number of bands that had gone nowhere and he decided he wanted to create music he loved, with people he loved, and go somewhere with it. When Armory formed they were made up of Justin Wisner on lead vocals and guitar (he was only 16 at the time), Aaron Smith on bass and screaming (he was also 16) and Justin's younger brother Jared (nicknamed Blondy because of his blonde hair) on drums (he was only 8 years old at the time). Armory quickly began turning heads, recording their first EP entitled ''Formality Dissmissed'' with the help of Justin and Jared's father Keith Wisner. That EP was followed up by their first full length ''...And So It Begins'' (also produced and recorded by Keith Wisner). It wasn't the best music in the world but it was ok, and between that and their young ages they caught the attention of GMA/Dove Award nominated producer CR Pendleton (who has worked with acts like Inhale/Exhale, John Reuben, Spoken, and MTV's Pimp My Ride, ect) who produced the song ''Nightmares and Dreams'' on Armory's second full length album ''The Fusillade''. Along with releasing 3 CD's on their own Armory also managed to land some pretty sweet shows with bands like Skillet, Disciple, Family Force 5, Decyfer Down, Eleventyseven, John Reuben, Hawk Nelson, the Apologetix, the Afters, Life In Your Way, Dizmas, Children 18:3, Mainstay, The Send, Fighting Instinct, Since October, Deas Veil, After the Sirens, the Human Flight Committee, and Palaris. And in the summer of 2007 Armory openned a short tour with Krystal Meyers and Eleventyseven. And in the fall of 2007 Armory added a new member to the band, Caleb Palmer (Justin and Jared's cousin) on guitar. Now almost 4 years after starting the band, the members of Armory are older, Justin (20), Aaron, (20), Jared (11), and Caleb (16), and writting the music that they have always wanted to write. Armory is currently working on a new 7 song EP called ''We Came From the North'' which will be released in spring 2009! (They will also be posting a new biography soon which will be a little more interesting).
