CHICAGO’S HOTTEST NEW MUSIC SENSATION!
It wasn’t long ago that rap group Ben-Sity decided to set the pace and race to the
top of Chicago’s music scene, and with no visible or audible signs of short wind… Rush,
Space and Sino effortlessly surpassed fellow runners with their 2007 first mix tape title
“Long Time Coming”. Ben-Sity started in the early 1990’s, as childhood friends Jonathan
“Rush” Williams & Mario “Space” Johnson, would write rhymes and freestyle in each
other’s west-side apartment complex. Inevitably the two… years later progressed into
recording with Jamel “Sino” Moore, whom met Rush & Space through mutual
neighborhood friends and officially formed Ben-Sity.
Fast forward to 2008…Ben-Sity release their first “anticipated” album aptly titled, “The High Five Club” due to the group’s manner of celebrating accomplishment’s, setting trends, and breaking local barriers by simply high-fiving each other or also called the Vince Vaughn “The High Five Club” is a sonic opus of melodic hits, Which brings the listener into a world of smoke filled caddies on urban life inspired songs like. ”Grey Goose”,” Could It Be” and “Almost”.
While “The High Five Club” is available on iTunes, in E.P. version, Ben-Sity has
been keeping to date with their sound and knack for making head knodding music, by
releasing their current mix tape “Back To The Basics”, for a free download through
various social network sites and direct to fan interaction. The first single “So Simple”
is a classic hip hop ode to a wide list of amateur artist looking to make that big break
with a simple single and no more. The “So Simple” video was shot by Travis Long for
Ike Films, and is on You Tube & Vimeo with increasing plays daily.
As of late the group is finishing up there latest project “The Royalty Family” is set to dope spring of 2011. Some of Ben-Sity’s most note-worthy accomplishments include being
on the local and college radio stations such UIC radio, DePaul radio, Power 92.3 mix show, 107.5 WGCI and B96 radio station the group has performed throughout the Chicago land area. Such locations include The Double Door, Reggie’s Rock Club, Tini Martini, Navy Pier the Beat Kitchen, Cubby Bear, Subterranean and The House of Blues opening for Snoop Dogg, 2 Live Crew, Jasmine Sullivan, Young Jeezy as well as other major
label artist.
Ben-Sity and all of their affiliates have been steadily working to accomplish their
goals and dreams of taking over the music industry. All members of the group are devoted to
fulfilling their aspirations of “blowing up” in the industry and with all of their recent
recognition; this dream will be realized very soon. “The buzz on the streets is getting
louder and the aim of Ben-Sity is to get the world in their palms with creative sounds,
witty topics, prestige, and integrity!”
