Artist and Producer, Blizzy combines the creativity of Kanye West with the audacity of Jim Jones to create one of the most naturally confident sounds in music, period. His arrogant delivery mixed with his “I run this” demeanor, is almost iconic in nature. Born Adrian Baxter in Brooklyn New York, Blizzy migrated to Kingston, Jamaica where his moniker was crafted and his musical talent was formed. As a teenager, Blizzy excelled in Academics and Sports, but it was his piano lessons where he found his true solace. He spent hours everyday teaching himself to mimic different riffs and melodies of popular songs on the radio. By 1999, at the age of 18, Blizzy returned to the United States where he and fellow childhood friends, Andre “Dre Vibez” Chevolleau and Ashauni “Shaunex” Jackson started their record label Adajor Records. By 2002, Blizzy had already produced songs for many local South Florida acts and assisted on a few major releases. It was during this period where he discovered his love for the artistry of recording. He recorded his first solo song “Take Me Somewhere” which he also co-produced. The record garnered the attention of various underground Djs and immediately became a local hit. This catapulted his young career into numerous club performances and shows. Blizzy however never left his first love of producing records. By 2006, he had local notoriety as one of the hottest producers in his city. With help and motivation from one of his mentors, Dre Vibez, Blizzy recorded his first studio LP, Borrowed Time. The Album’s ecleptic sound and dark but religious undertones was immediately received and pushed Blizzy to the forefront of his independent label. Currently, Blizzy has been in the studio recording a new project while shopping his label on a national scale. He is confident that his brand of music will not only be in demand, but necessary.
