I've been playing guitar since the 7th grade, and hit my peak around 1994 playing in Monkey Boy in Tempe Arizona. At that time I was taking lessons from George Lynch's (Dokken) former teacher Mark Thompson, who was and probably still is a technical dynamo, but it was also at that time that I came to the realization that I would never be the next Eddie Van Halen; I'm more of a song guy, not a lead guitar player. So after Monkey Boy became no more, I really didn't play anymore and began building custom electric guitars, mostly for myself but the dreams of becoming the next Leo Fender dancing in my head. The itch to create music again was probably due to too many hours of watching VH1's Behind the Music, and discovering bands I've always known and liked but never bought their albums. It was then that I determined that the best music was all from across the pond in Europe. Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, The Who, The Beatles, U2, Genesis, Queen, Cream, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones... I could go on forever. This revelation and a new found excitement for music again saw me buying a Pro Tools rig and learning the art of recording. That was just over a year ago, and I’ve done one commercial for local radio and co-wrote and recorded a birthday song for Skateland that was well received but they could not justify paying for 17 different versions of the song for their locations across the country due to the economic down turn. I hope you enjoy this music as much as I enjoyed creating it.
